What to Bring

Below is a list of items atheletes will be required to bring to camp:

  • Release of Liability
  • Medical Waiver
  • Mouthguard
  • Shinguards
  • Water bottle
  • Goggles not required
  • Pinnies are provided by Elite Connection

*There will be a camp store if you forget or need any equipment.

*No refunds. Camp will be held rain or shine.

Elite Connection, LLC was started by Kate Barber Kinnear and Carrie Lingo to teach, develop, and improve all hockey players and athletes. Regardless of age, skill level or ability, we guarantee you will learn and take away valuable lessons to help become a better field hockey player and athlete. Our coaching staff includes only current and past USA National Field Hockey Team Members, so our campers learn from the best to become the best!

kateKate Barber Kinnear

Kate holds one of the most illustrious careers in USA Field Hockey with over 200 International Competitions, earning three Pan American Game Silver medals and playing on the US World Cup Teams in 1998, 2002 and 2006 she was honored as USA Field Hockey Female Athlete of the Year five times.  Kate served as the Women's National Team Captain leading up to and during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and was inducted into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014.  Kate's successful career began at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where she earned three National Championships.  Under the leadership of head coach Karen Shelton, Kate earned All-American honors three times, as a freshman she was voted Rookie of the Year, she also earned All-ACC, All-ACC Tournament and All-NCAA Tournament honors.

Carrie started her career on the US National Team in 2002 becoming one of the most capped athletes in USA Field Hockey.  With 190 International Caps, she was a member of the 2008 Olympic Team, earning two Pan Am Game Silver medals and playing on US World Cup Teams in 2002 and 2006 she was honored as USA Field Hockey Female Athlete of the Year in 2009 and serving as team Captain from 2009 until 2011.  Graduating from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Carrie won a National Championship with the Tar Heels in 1997, also earning All-American Honors in 2001 and selected as one of the top 50 players in Atlantic Coast Conference history.
